New Programme Office headed up by Payments Industry Veteran

Following recent expansion to their new UK Secure Operations Centre, Secure Electrans, the UK based payments innovation company, has announced further growth with a new Programme Office in the heart of the M4 corridor close to Reading effective March 1st 2012.

The main focus of the Programme Office will be to support implementation and deployment of Electrans’ EMV compliant HomePay Chip&PIN solution, working with major clients throughout the region. It will also maintain Electrans’ growing number of strategic partners and key financial industry relationships.

Electrans also announced the recruitment of Alan Wilkinson as Programme Manager to head up the new office. Alan brings a wealth of financial services experience to Electrans’, including managing major operational implementations with IBM, AT&T and Royal Bank of Canada. The role is also somewhat of a homecoming for Alan, who was one of the original foundation team at Secure Electrans in 2000.

“I am extremely pleased to be rejoining at such a pivotal stage in Electrans’ development and on the eve of the launch of the HomePay product family. The programme office is ideally located to enable us to support our commercial growth strategy, and puts us within easy reach of our Issuer, Acquirer, PSPs and Utility Sector clients” Alan commented, “We are currently in the process of recruiting experienced Project and Product Managers to support our UK implementations and to accelerate our market deployment.”
