Leading payments expert joins Secure Electrans to assist with in-home Chip&PIN launch

Secure Electrans has further strengthened it’s team with the appointment of Chris Jarman, a leading payments technology expert. With over 20 years experience in innovative, consumer focussed payments solutions, Chris is ideally suited to manage the roll out of the company’s patented secure CNP payments solutions.

Nick Horler, non-executive director, commented, “Chris brings a wealth of payments experience and his experience to date has been firmly focused on delivering secure payments solutions that consumers want. This is perfectly aligned with Secure Electrans and our target to bring secure Chip&PIN transactions to every home.”

Chris Jarman added, ”I am delighted to have joined the team at Secure Electrans at such an interesting time in the company’s development. With the launch of the HomePay system, we are meeting the needs of the security conscious consumer by offering the first secure in-home Chip&PIN payment device. Add to this the benefits of secure card not present transactions to the payments industry, and we are firmly placed to deliver truly secure in home CNP (card not present) transactions.

Chris' contributions to the world of payment technologies have ranged from facilitating the first EMV based wireless payments in France to forging the South African Wireless Payments Group for Mastercard. He has worked in both the public and private sector. As well as having a solid strategic handle on the issues facing all parties in the payments process, Chris has extensive experience in bringing new products to market.
