Petter Allison
Non-Executive Director
Petter Allison is the Managing Director for technology and innovation at
British Gas. He is also a key player on leading the UK transformation to
deploy the strategically vital smart metering programme across British
Gas and its 16 million customer accounts. Petter joined British Gas in
1991 and has held a number of key roles including Director Smart
Metering, Head of Metering and Payments, Head of Commercial in
Residential Energy, and Head of Commercial Home Services. In Centrica as
Business Development Director, Petter was responsible for a number of
significant strategy and M&A assignments in the UK and internationally,
covering energy and services, telecoms and broadband. Petter spent 3
years in Berlin as Commercial Director for BG Deutschland GmbH, after a
former career as a development economist working in much of Africa and
Asia on projects financed by the World Bank, the UN and other agencies.
