Michael J Oaten joined the Board of the Company at the last AGM. He has been associated with the Company since early 2000 when he was the Senior Partner of the global corporate finance practice of the accounting firm Arthur Andersen. Currently, is a joint partner in Barons Financial Services, a corporate finance firm based in Geneva, London and Bermuda. Whilst at Arthur Andersen he was various managing partner of the Asian region with offices in each of the Asian countries (he was based in Singapore), responsible for all professional practices (audit, tax and consultancy) reporting to the worldwide CEO; managing partner of the ‘Change Management’ practice of the UK operation and managing partner of the global corporate finance practice. He worked extensively with Arthur Andersen clients in the energy industries – electricity, oil and gas - and banking sector. His major client whilst in charge of the Change Management practice was IBM Europe.
