Chris Jarman has spent 20 years delivering emerging technology solutions, working with everything from personal computers and smart cards to leading edge Internet and mobile applications.
Chris' contributions to the world of emerging payment technologies have always been driven from a strong consumer proposition.
As the EVP of Mobile Commerce at 724 Solutions, he was responsible for overseeing their growing mobile commerce unit, and directed the development of a blueprint for the delivery of secure wireless payment solutions to the nascent mobile marketplace.
Prior to joining 724 Solutions, Chris served with MasterCard International, firstly leading their smartcard and EMV developments, then the security and acceptance proposition of MasterCard in e-Commerce, and finally as Senior Vice President of Global Mobile Commerce where he was responsible for bringing together all key Mobile Network Operators, Financial Institutions and Suppliers to forge a common framework for mobile payments and to drive implementations from Europe, South Africa, Asia and North America.
Chris also has extensive hands-on experience in introducing new products and distribution channels in both existing and emerging markets, at both a strategic and tactical level.
Having spent the last 10 years in a variety of interim management and consulting roles, covering innovative payment solutions, payments security and mobile solutions, Chris brings consumer centric industry knowledge, experience and innovation to the Secure Electrans team
Chris is a regular contributor to industry publications and forums and is asked to speak around the world on payments security and emerging technologies. Having consulted and worked for leading corporations and government bodies, he is regarded as an industry innovator and thought leader.
